About Me
After a career in writing for business, serving as editor for two magazines, getting published in magazines and newspapers, I decided to try my hand at writing fiction for children, and joined Southwest Manuscripters (SWM). There, I met Randall and later became a part of his critique group, a diverse group of writers who worked hard to support each other and generously shared their own expertise.
Currently, I have three chapter books out to publishers: Don't Call Me Chung King (ages 7-12); Why Can't I Be A Ballerina (ages 9-12); and Tum De Dum Dum (ages 7-12). I am in the process of writing a biography on a U.S. Air Force hero, Dayton William Ragland, as well as a separate biography on his wife, Nettie Ann Ragland, who worked "inside" the Civil Rights Movement., and have just drafted another children's book, The Buggie Bottom Express .
